"I'm sorry" legislation

Description
Commonly referred to as "I’m sorry" legislation, the bill would have make inadmissible in any liability claim evidence of statements or gestures that express apology, sympathy, commiseration or condolence concerning the consequences of an event in which the expresser was a participant. Not restricted to medical liability. The policy issue is expected to go before an off-session Interim Legislative Committee.for further study.
