Description
Will clarify the authority of certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) to order medications under the order of a physician or dentist, diagnostic studies, and manage acute post-operative pain as well as the implement an anesthesia plan of care. The bill would not allow CRNAs to administer analgesia care during times other than during aesthesia period. The finished bill was the result of numerous meetings between the Kansas Association of Nurse Anesthetists, KMS and the Kansas Society of Anesthesiologists.
